Ingredients

5 slices bacon
1 small sweet onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
1 cup fine bread crumbs
2 large eggs beaten
1/3 cup ranch dressing
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3/4 cup reduced fat sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup ketchup

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with foil and place an oven-proof rack on the sheet.

  1. Sauté the onion, celery, pepper, and garlic together until the onion is soft and translucent.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the parsley, toast pieces, eggs, ranch dressing, mustard, sour cream, salt, and pepper together.  Add the sautéed vegetables.
  3. Using your hands, mix the ground meat and cheese into the mixture in the bowl.  Using a burger mold, form seven mounded patties 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick.  Place them on the rack.  Spread the ketchup over the patties.
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the meat registers 160 degrees with an insta-read thermometer.  Serve hot.
