For this recipe, we used a cased Italian sausage.  We could have used pepperoni.  For the white sauce, we used alfredo sauce.  The mushrooms are optional.

This recipe is for a thin crust pizza.

Ingredients

1 pizza crust mix or recipe made per directions for a 14 or 15 inch pizza
1 to 2 cups thin slices of encased smoked sausage as desired
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
1/2 sweet white onion, thinly sliced
2/3 cup alfredo sauce
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated medium or sharp cheddar cheese
pizza spices, as desired

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

  1. Make the pizza dough and roll it out in the pan using a pizza roller.
  2. Spread the alfredo sauce evenly over the dough. Cover the sauce with the sausage slices. Evenly distribute the mushroom, olives, and onion slices over the sausage.  Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the pizza. Sprinkle with spices as desired.
  3. Bake for 13 to 17 minutes or until the edges of the crust are browned and the cheese is bubbly and beginning to brown.  Baking times will vary depending on the pan and the toppings.
  4. Remove the pizza from the oven.  Slide the pizza to a cutting board and cut with a pizza roller.  Serve immediately.
